This is Will about to make a funny face even though I told him we were done w/ funny faces.

A little attitude...

I finally started to get some cute smiles out of these two on camera. All it took was Will being a little naughty. He was banging the bench against the wall. I knew it wasn't the best idea, but I allowed it for a few pictures.

Uh oh, he tipped the bench over. It was time to quit.

I took these next four pictures w/ Hannah's four year picture in mind. One of these is going to hang on the wall. I just can't decide which one. I'm partial to all of them for one reason or another, but I know none of them are professional. If you have a favorite please let me know. Oh, and sorry about the absent rotation. I did rotate them; it just didn't carry over for some reason.

You know when you are busy doing something, and suddenly you have a little panic attack because you realize it's silent? Never a good sign, right? Well, for once it was a good thing. Hannah was "putting Will to bed. "

Am I a mean mom for posting this? Will loves to stomp around and follow Hannah and they both love to wear Dad's & Mom's shoes more than their own.

This is what happens when you abandon commen sense, and put two cake mixes in a bowl meant for one. I know I read online somewhere that it took two cakes mixes. I just can't find any evidence after the fact. So, four cakes mixes later, we got our Snow White cake & cupcakes.

I really wasn't going to let my boys dress up, but he doesn't stand much of a chance w/ Hannah for a sister, and sadly to say, "princess" & "dress up" are part of his daily vocabulary.

Surprise Giraffe

Ever since Will was a giraffe for Halloween, Hannah has been talking about it. She kept saying, "And I'm gonna be a giraffe too!" I hung the costume up in Will's closet. One night between dinner & the is-it-bed-time-yet-melt-down-rush Hannah was in a not so pleasant mood. She begged me to let her try the giraffe costume on. I tried to tell her she would not possibly fit into a 12 month costume since she is almost four. She persisted, as our kids usually do. Trent wonders if their persistence will be to their advantage in the work force, but on long car rides it has been known to drive him nuts. Any way, I finally said, "Well we can probably put the cotume in your arms & on your head, but not the legs cause it's too small. She was glad. So, we did just that. Then, I went to finish the dishes or something boring like that. I heard some grunts, groans, & squeals from Will's room. Then, the almost four year old giraffe emerged triumphant and proud.

This is what my windows looked like the morning of the blizzard. No, I didn't pick up the dry cleaning or do the much needed grocery shopping.

Trent did make it to work after a nice fellow pulled him out of the drift he was stuck in.

My family thought it was funny how much food I gave him. He's not laughing, neither am I. It's quite normal for him to eat large plates of food.

Clearly, everyone was so happy that I took this picture. Most of them tried to look happy, but can't you just see the annoyance seething? I love it!

Trent brought the kids gifts from his business trip to New Orleans.

We had a wonderful break, but it feels good to get back to a more regular routine.

Imagina how good these would look if I had a really good camera, or better yet photography skills. I love living in the country. It's so peaceful & beautiful. I took these from my backyard.

I actually took this snow picture today. Imagine that, I'm blogging a picture that's been taken less than a month ago. Maybe we shouldn't play in the snow on Sunday, but we were just lending morale support to Dad since he was shoveling our walks. Sorry no picture of Will. My camera was full, and he was having glove issues.

I love having two kids because they keep each other entertained more often than not, but they also get each other into trouble a lot!

Hannah really enjoyed this, and I wish I would have started her painting when it was warmer. Painting inside isn't an option when you're house-sitting. :)

Will enjoyed it for about 30 seconds. I did the red smear, but he did the rest. I decided to clear out the paint pretty quickly after he started. Maybe we'll have to paint while he naps, and in the garage of course.

Well, my baby is late walker, but he took his first steps tonight and it was worth the wait! He was pretty excited as were Trent & I. I think he's going to be a pro @ walking soon!

Hannah is usually such an angel (maybe ;)), and Will is sooo sweet, but you put the two together, and it's sure to lead to trouble, tears, and tyranny. Does any one else feel this way about their kids? I don't know if it's because they crave one on one attention w/ parents, or if they know that they won't get blamed if they get into trouble together. This picture does not represent what I'm talking about. I usually don't have time to snap the pictures to prove my point, but I'm sure you know what I mean. I just like this picture. It kind of gives you a glimpse of how apt Hannah is to help Will get into trouble.
The pictures I didn't get are: Hannah & Will pulling the vents out, and rescuing the flies & bugs w/ a spoon. Hannah pouring water on the fly because I told her to "get the fly swatter," which she interpreted as, "get the fly some water." Another picture I didn't get was Will throwing up, and me chasing it all over the kitchen trying to clean it up, just to have him do it again and again, but I did learn that next time perhaps I should try to hold a bowl in front of him to prevent that. I kept thinking he was done, but oh was I wrong. The picture I didn't get was of Will falling asleep sitting straight up on the floor, but below you'll find one of him asleep in his high chair. I didn't get the picture of Hannah holding Will w/ his toes barely touching the floor and saying "Look, mommy, he's walking! Good boy!" But here are a few pictures that I did get:

We went to our nephew Ethan's baptism, and I was busy visiting inside. I came out to find this... Whoever said you needed a swimsuit to swim? Apparently, three year olds don't think you need one.

I don't usually do much w/ my blog except post a few pictures occassionally, but I had to post this recipe because it is soooo easy, and quite yummy.

Pizza Casserole

1/2 large can cooked chicken (freeze the other half)
15 oz. italian-style tomato sauce (I added seasoning to plain)
1 & 1/2 c. mozz. cheese
1 10 oz. package refrigerated biscuits (10)

Spray a 9 x 13 or 2 qt. rectangular baking dish. Cut/shred the chicken, add to pan. Add sauce & mix. Add cheese. Flatten biscuits w/ hand, and arrange on top of cheese. Bake @ 375 degrees for 15-2o minutes, or 400 degrees for 15 minutes. For my current oven I reduce the heat in all my recipes by 25 degrees. Variation= ground beef/sausage instead of chicken. When serving I scoop sauce on top of the biscuits.

I was going to post a picture, but by the time I had the idea to post this we'd devoured most of the pan! It's really good, especially for how easy it is.

We survived our move, and we're starting to really enjoy it here. These two have a lot of sibling rivalry going on, so I thought it was so cute how they danced together in this video. Ususally they're pulling toys away while Hannah screams "mine," and Will screeches like a banshee. Despite their fighting I live for sweet moments like this, and I find humor in their fighting, sometimes.

We can't believe our baby boy is one already! Time really flies w/ the second child. Our sweet baby boy has realized with age that he doesn't have to be so sweet & angelic all the time any more, or maybe it was just his earache. He's recently weaned to one nap, which is working out so much better! It may seem a little early to some for only one nap, but he was taking bad naps, napping late, going to bed late, and getting up early. Now, he takes one 2-4 hour nap per day and sleeps about 8:30-7:00. We hope he keeps this up, especially as we are about to move. That could put a huge rock in our blender for a while.
We've had many events in our family lately, so we had to sneak two mini parties in for Will. The first one we did @ Park City during our family reunion. We also celebrated a "few" other June birthdays. On Will's actual birthday we had Trent's parents and a few cousins over for pizza & oreo dessert.

Those of you w/ young kids will know why the cake is in the laundry room w/ a gate blocking entry.

I can't believe she's three! Notice the crooked pigtails? This was my third attempt to keep them in. She has a very FREE spirit.

Posing before our snowmobile excursion. Hannah has been afraid of snowmobiles for a long time. We've had to pull her in a sled behind one, or drive her in the truck out to the field. This time I said, "Do you want to come w/ me?" and she did, just like that. It was weird, but I'm very pleased.

She loves her new tunnel, but she mostly likes Dad or Mom to stand up in it & "scare" her. This is the first way Dad played w/ her w/ it.

Both of my kids love to shake their heads around six months old. I was going to post Hannah & Will doing it side by side, but I can't find the one of Hannah doing it. It is on an older post of mine somewhere.

Dressing up has become Hannah's new thing ever since her older friend played dress up w/ her. They even involved Will in it a little, but no dresses or headbands Dad says, so I won't post those pictures, just kidding. :)

I cut my hair shorter than I've ever had it. It is really short in the back. I like it for the most part, but I have to do it if I want to leave the house.

Hannah & Will love to play nurse & patient. I'm not always sure which is which.

Will has been "teething" for about 4 1/2 months we think, but no teeth yet. He chomped on our poor bunny, Rae, for almost a half hour one day.

Hannah loves to build towers. She labeled this one a "cute tower." I felt lucky that she hadn't knocked it over yet, which is usually her favorite part.

I made chicken alfredo pizza one night for dinner. Hannah really wanted to help, and I had extra sauce, so she made her own pizzas out of bread. They turned out pretty good for a 2 year old. Now, we're anticpating her 3rd birthday party on Friday.

Nothing exceptional, just a tea party...

So, both of my kids sound somewhat similar as they are discovering their voices. Here's Hannah squealing when she was about five months old. If I remember right she was a little horse from crying; she was very collicky most of the time until she was about eight months old.

Here's Will discovering his voice. He's five months old. Their personality differences show up a little in these movies. He's quite laidback & easy going. Hannah is very spirited!!! :) I think they look quite a bit alike.

Well, sorry I'm slow. I know we're all way done w/ Halloween, but I'm going to post this any way.

I told Hannah to lean to the side so I could see her. Will is going to be bigger than her soon. :) In fact, I have trouble finding pants that don't fall off Hannah.

Next, we tried side by side. Not the best picture, but I think it's funny.

Impossible to get a picture of him w/out her. :) She loves him too much to stay away.

Next, year I'll prepare a little better. Paint would've been much more fun.

I didn't tell her to kiss him. In fact, we didn't want her to smear her lipstick, but she insisted on kissing him any way. I wouldn't recommend doing makeup on a 2 year old. I guess we learn as we go along, and it was fun. :)

33 weeks... Sorry,I still haven't learned how to turn the picture.

Creative comfort...

This was right before the book group I was going to host. Hannah can tell when I'm trying to keep the house presentable. Sometimes, she will help, but usually it results in things like this.

34 weeks & looking much bigger than @ 33 weeks. It must be the angle or the shirt, right?

I was planning on saving the top of our wedding cake for our 25th anniversary, yes a little sentimental, I know, but I decided it was time to let it go. We ate some on our 1st anniversary, and it wasn't bad, but after moving about ten times I decided it wouldn't be good any more. It was just a lot of sentimenal freezer space. We even got a deep freezer, but I still threw it away. This is what pictures are for after all.

Now, that it's getting close to being time for the baby to come we decided to be brave and transition Hannah to a bed.

Night 1: I couldn't sleep. I felt I had to listen to make sure she wasn't wandering. I also worried that she'd come stand by our bed, and I'd scream & tramatize her. She woke up in the middle of the night saying "water," over & over. By the time I got to her she was by the door & in the process of opening it. After giving her water she pointed to her crib. I felt bad, but I convinced her to go back to her bed. She woke up around 6:00, instead of 8:00, saying "mommy" over & over, but she understood quickly that she could come to me. After 45 minutes of her in bed w/ us I put her back to bed w/ a little bit of a fuss from her, but she was quiet until 7:15. I put a gate up. She stood by it & said, "mommy" calmly, but persistently, until I got her.

Night 2: I made a sticker chart. I showed it to her & explained that if she stayed in bed all night until we got her that she'd get a star sticker. She loves "dars" and was very excited! I put her to bed very tired @ 8:00. I put a gate in her doorway so that I could sleep w/out worrying about her getting into trouble in the house etc. etc. I didn't hear any thing until 7:45! Yeay! Night 2 was a success. I don't know if it was the chart, or if she just got used to the idea of her bed, but it's working so far. Wish us luck in the future!

Hannah's birthday started w/ her cousin Tommy's baptism. We had lunch at his house & sang to Hannah there. She received a few gifts, and got to spend time w/ Grandma & Grandpa Price.

Later in the day we had her princess party. The pinata was a hit! Next time we'll set a few more rules so it'll run a little more smoothly.

This birthday was very exciting because Hannah understands the concept of opening gifts. At Christmas she wanted me to open all of them, except the candy, which she understood.

Hannah opened this mirror & said, "ooooo looky, princess!" She played w/ it & looked in it until we finally nudged her onto her next gift. Thanks Izzy! She loves it. Thanks to everyone for coming & for the gifts. She loves them all!

Hannah wasn't quite sure about her jacket, or maybe it was the pigtails. They didn't last long.

This was before we went to a New Year's party.

Hannah has recently learned a new word, "Messes."

Hannah will not wear a head band no matter what. She found her headband drawer one day, and I came in to find this. If we have another girl she'll wear a headband every other day so she can get used to it.

She could barely breath by the end.

We went to Aden's wedding. It was fun to catch up with some friends that we haven't seen for a while. I was sorry, I didn't take more pictures, especially at Chuck-E-Cheese.

We spent the day of the 4th of July w/ T's fam. They did some fun things. A plane dropped candy on a field for the kids. Also, they had a greased pig contest. H didn't seem interested, but it was fun to watch. We headed to Utah after we had hamburgers in the park. My mom listened for Hannah after we put her to bed so that we could go on a date! We went to Indiana Jones. We were practically the only ones in the theatre since most normal people go to fireworks on the 4th of July. Oh well, it was wonderful!

We went to Idaho Falls to my cousin's wedding. It was a nice change of pace for us. Although, we have been traveling a lot lately. This go round we buckled down and stayed in a hotel. It was sort of relaxing.

We taught her "more" in sign language. Apparently, she couldn't get enough treats. I think she thinks it means many more things than "more". She thinks it means: "want, outside, pick me up, please, now etc."

Hannah thinks it's funny to try to balance her washcloth on the ledge of the tub. This time she discovered how fun it was to balance it on her head.

Hannah could barely even see with all of her hair dangling in her eyes. So, I decided to be a nice mom and sacrifice my time and energy to do piggy tails. It might have been easier if she didn't have so much hair! :)

Hannah has never really taken to stuffed animals. I'm a little worried about her love for electronic devices. Hopefully, she'll grow out of it. At least she likes dolls.
